The Idiotbox Effects Landphil Bass Distortion is the signature bass distortion pedal for Landphil, bassist for crossover thrash band Municipal Waste and death metal band Cannabis Corpse. Based on the Blower Box Bass Distortion, the Landphil takes the original circuit and makes it significantly more tweakable, giving bassists a much wider range of aggressive, high-gain distortion tones. The expanded control set allows you to shape both the low and high frequencies while dialing in the amount of distortion and output level, making it capable of everything from gritty drive to massive, brutal bass distortion.
The Landphil features the same core HI/LOW boost/cut, Distortion, and Volume controls found on the Blower Box, with an additional control for each frequency section for substantially greater tonal range. The current version is housed in a compact 1590BB enclosure and uses true-bypass switching with standard 9V DC center-negative power.
