We here at SoCal Bass & Fx are excited to welcome Overwater Basses and to be their exclusive retailer here in the United States. Overwater sends their basses to us directly from from their shop in the north of England where they are built using the painstaking techniques that have been developed over their 45 year history. Luthier Chris May and his team make only the highest quality instruments which are used by some of the biggest names in the world of Theatre, Studio, and Live Performance. We are excited to now carry AV Basses direct from the Czech Republic! We've received our first shipment of two of their precision AVP4 models: a charcoal gray featuring Aguilar pickups and a Hipshot Drop D tuner and a vintage white Bass the World YouTube model featuring custom overwound Aguilar pickups and a special edition Bass the World neck plate.

SoCal Bass & Fx is excited to announce a new partnership with San Diego bass builder McGrath. You may have seen their triple pickup Thunderhorse bass receive glowing review from The Bass Channel on YouTube or the response video from BEHS channel that went from skeptical to impressed. We now have a fantastic blue Thunderhorse IV of our own in stock that is ready to be yours!

NAMM 2025
We had a great time at NAMM 2025 this year, we met a lot of fantastic builders from the around the world and have some amazing new basses. In the next week we will be adding new basses from LEH, RKM, Dunable, and Klos with even more in the weeks to follow!
We are excited to announce the addition of Alusonic
Boutique Italian builder Alusonic has joined with SoCal Bass & Fx in making their amazing line of basses available to musicians here in the US. Alusonic basses are handcrafted in Italy using a combination of aluminum and wood bodies, hardwood necks, graphitex fretboards, and their own custom spun pick-ups.
